SAP Test Analyst – Brisbane CBD

The Role

The purpose of the Test Analyst is to use testing and business analysis expertise to test solution changes undertaken to support the integration of core payroll systems with the Finance System Replacement.

Responsibilities

  • Complete system integration and regression testing and associated activities such as defect logging, prioritisation and management, within established frameworks, strategies, standards, methodologies and policies;
  • Collaborate with other teams and external stakeholders as required to undertake timely preparation for testing, issue and defect resolution to enable test execution deadlines to be met to ensure timely release of functionality for the benefit of the clients;
  • Contribute to project work and strategic or improvement analysis and advice to management on testing, application and associated issues and initiatives including risk and issue identification and management;
  • Assist test analysts to complete system, integration and regression testing and associated activities within established frameworks, strategies, standards, methodologies and policies;
  • Liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with team members, other project teams, stakeholders and client groups to develop and maintain effective working relationships and the integrity of the overall integrated solution;
  • Contribute to effective, client focussed teamwork by developing an understanding of the roles and duties of team members within the team and across the organisation, and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes with a commitment to quality and customer service.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated high level of expertise and experience in a test analyst role performing system, integration, regression and/or user acceptance testing and coordination in a complex system environment;
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge of integrated ERP solutions;
  • Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate a diverse range of stakeholders and build positive relationships in an environment of change.
  • Significant test experience and exposure to core financial systems and the replacement thereof
  • Demonstrated technical integration test experience including the use of tools to simulate interfaces to support early test execution
  • Appreciation of basic accounting principles and their application to complex IT systems
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform the requirements of the role within a large complex and geographically dispersed ICT environment.
  • Demonstrated experience Testing integrated ERP solutions, particularly HR/Payroll and Finance solutions.
  • Demonstrated technical integration test experience including the use of tools to simulate interfaces to support early test execution
  • Demonstrated high level of expertise and experience in a Senior test analyst role performing planning and execution for system, integration, regression and/or user acceptance testing and co-ordination in a complex system environment
  • Demonstrated ability to use HP Quality Centre to plan and execute Test Cases.
