Service Desk Consultant Job in Sydney

Our client is an Australian owned company providing the full spectrum of ICT service, by consulting, delivering and managing technology needs to today’s Market.

This role will focus on providing phone and remote support to our customers in the area of End User Computing, this will include more advanced fault rectification and system maintenance tasks where applicable. This is a customer facing role and the ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role and be experienced in providing support to Microsoft Windows and basic networking environments as well as general End User Computing.Join a close-knit, young and fun team of success driven individuals in a collaborative, supportive environment which encourages learning and technical certifications.


  • Assist on technical requests personally, electronically or via phone
  • Resolve technical issues such as hardware, software, mobile concerns
  • Observe standard service desk protocol
  • Record accurate service desk activities
  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of records, reports and databases
  • Maintain network by monitoring performance issues
  • Identify recurring problems, resolve and mitigate as necessary
  • Update policy and procedural documents
  • Be updated with system information, changes and updates
  • Administer on-site support to clients
  • Able to work overtime and on weekends whenever needed
  • Administer efficient systems and processes
  • Update design changes related to domain management, incident management, patch management, vulnerability management, remote access, access control and capacity planning.

Required Skills

  • 5 years + experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and SCCM
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work with customers.
  • Has experience with training service desk support with troubleshooting
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills (Desktop, servers, network, mobile)
  • Experience supporting:
    • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Win 7, 8.1 and 10)
    • Microsoft Services such as Lync, Exchange, O365, SCCM
    • Virtualisation Technology such as Hyper-v/Vmware
    • Windows Security Management
    • Windows Server Management
    • Networking
  • Experience in provisioning users using Microsoft’s Active Directory/Exchange/Office 365
  • Knowledge of Active Directory Management
  • Proficiency with Certificate Services
